Who would have thought that “groutfits” or sweatpants with heels would ever be things, let alone a trend…

Well I’m here to tell you they are!

The trend of all gray has been everywhere this year. It’s bold, but when you’re able to pull it off (in my opinion) it’s one of the most chic looks. For this shoot, Caitlin and I went to the Boston Public Library. When deciding on a place to shoot this look, the BPL immediately came to mind because of it’s elegance and beauty.

Although the lighting is a little iffy at times when you’re inside, Caitlin and I had an amazing time exploring all the library has to offer. Each room has so much character and detail.

After taking some pictures inside we decided to venture out into the court yard. It’s beautiful.

With the lighting being amazing out here, I’ll get to the look…

I knew I wanted to put together an all gray outfit because I had been seeing it every where and fell in love with every look I saw. I began with my light gray heels from Aldo that I’ve had for a while now. Then, knowing that making sweatpants look chic is also a trend these days, I decided to hunt for gray sweatpants that had elastic ankles. The reason that I wanted the elastic was to define my ankles with wearing heels. After a few weeks of looking I found these dark gray sweatpants at Forever 21 and as soon as I saw them I knew they were the ones.

I rolled over the top of the pants too to balance the look of the elastic ankle and to make them fit me better.

With dark gray pants and light gray heels I paired this light gray turtle neck with it all and tucked it into my pants for a more balanced look.

For the final touches, I added a bold statement necklace and this teal / gray detailed clutch to add some color.

For me, this is a look that can be worn in a casual setting or more sophisticated setting. Wear it for a breakfast, lunch or dinner date (again, casual or sophisticated); or even for a night out with your girlfriends, which is what I plan to do!

Until next time! XO

Eloquently Yours,
